I had a pep talk this week from an older member of Gen X which honestly amounted to:

- don’t waste time trying to change the world
- give into the status quo
- spend more of your free time working for the man (or in this case woman)

I admit I did feel worn ragged on all fronts. But it had the opposite of the intended effect on me. I felt I gave a $hit more than ever.

I never want to be that jaded. Yeah we all have bad days, but if we stop trying to change then what’s what’s the point?

@JugglingWithEggs I wonder, would someone from that generation not reject killing oneself?
What was requested sounds pretty much like that.

Is the actual flesh hull so much more important than the idea embedded in the thinking?

@admitsWrongIfProven

They are someone who believes in education…and yet every conversation is surface deep. In the context of where we work they are quite progressive, but there is a strong streak of believing that people entirely make their own luck and should protect themselves and their families from harm.
