I only barely know what happened, or anything about the guy.

But I'm really conflicted, because about all I've seen of him is one stupid quote, over and over. I'm sure he's done lots of awful stuff. But all I've seen is one thing

And like, it's a dumb thing to say, sure. But:

A, I _do_ strongly believe in the right to bear arms.

B, if he had said "It's worth the cost of, unfortunately, some vehicular deaths every year so we can have cars", most people would agree
