I got no beef with synthetic truffle oil as a thing that is sold and used for cooking, I got beef with the fact that it's not legally required to be clearly labelled as such.

While I'm at it, "wild mushrooms" as a label should only be allowed to be applied to things made from actual wild mushrooms that were foraged.

@renardboy If you don't want people to lie to you, you need to give the liars a good beating. Amazing, how we still have no society gouverning a peaceful life together, right?

@admitsWrongIfProven Hey man been a while, we should definitely beat up the people who presumable lobbied to be able to call it truffle oil.

Not the people who sell it or stuff made from it though, because if those people labelled their product honestly it would put them at a competitive disadvantage against their competitors. Same for using genuine truffle oil.
