To be honest, the main reason I like the internet is adblock software.
Chrome disallowed adblockers, but I had stopped using Chrome a long time ago. Now Firefox is talking about disallowing them.
With full ads, I would just stop using the internet recreationally. I will go out of my way to not watch ads. They are dangerous acts of psychological warfare. People kill themselves because of advertising. It isn’t good for anyone to consistently expose themselves to this level of propaganda.
Also, while I’m on the subject, ban billboards and advertising on public transit.
If your product is so great then people will recommend it to each other through word of mouth. All ads are scams at their core.
I don’t mean to be dramatic, but non-consensual advertising is literal capitalist psychic warfare and should be opposed as a regulatory part of the whole hell-system of human-misery-reproduction. We are trapped in the belly of this horrible machine, and the machine is telling us to savor the savings 😊😊😊
