My #FiftyIn50 #blogging challenge is over. I reflect on what I learned.

https://forkingmad.uk/post/it-ends-at-fifty

Not mentioned in the post, but I comment here.... It was clear that almost no one on the fediverse clicked to read any of my posts. I know a few did follow along, and I am grateful.

Is this a reflection of disinterested in me, or my posts, or blogging in general? Or laziness not to click through, but to expect content hand fed directly into the fedi post.

One for me to reflect further on.
😊

Follow

@daj Welp I saw this because someone I follow boosted it. Only 2 of your show up when I click on the hashtag though, so something is not working right.

I probably would not see your posts unless they had a hashtag I follow anyway (probably none of which you will use anyway), but the fact that I can see only 2 means I'm not even getting that chance.

I will note that both of those posts have been boosted. I'm not sure if that's meaningful since I can't compare to the others.

@ambihelical@qoto.org hashtag reach is so random on the fediverse. It is dependent on your own local server getting copies of each posts with the tag. So, someone on your server has to be following me.

@daj yeah I thought it might be a fediverse “feature”. Most unfortunate design that.
