@birdpoof It's unlikely that all of them are such good singers. I wonder who needed Autotune?
I'm positive some autotune was used, however... Akiva Goldsman had this to say in an interview (I'm sure he was being generous, but still):
Celia Rose Gooding, Rebecca Romijn and Christina Chong are all singers, but did you know that the rest of the cast could sing as well?
Goldsman: No! Our composer played with all of them to see what their range was, and we wrote for them. I mean, I didn’t know Ethan could sing until I went, “Holy fuck, Ethan can sing!” Which is, by the way, kind of what happens when you watch the episode. You’re like, “Wait, Spock is singing now?”

So I think it's fair to say no one was practically tone deaf, and they did have a singing coach.
@birdpoof I'm pretty sure you are joking about a soundtrack album, but I would definitely put that Spock solo on my MP3 player.
Released Aug 4, after the episode air date.

I'll wait for Spotify and DRM-free MP3 purchase or CD, but I see it's here too (*never bought from this site)

@birdpoof Oh, I thought you were kidding. 😀
Uhuru has a set of lungs!
Celia Rose Gooding and her mom are from Broadway, and Celia already has an Emmy and a Tony nomination 😁
@birdpoof Maybe Kirk was thinking about La'an when he decided not to kill Khan.
@ambulocetus
With such a huge swing, I was so curious how the writers were going to pull this off while still keeping it Trek. I'm impressed! And I'm definitely buying the episode album when it drops tomorrow. 😂
