That a machine does well on a test that treats people like they’re machines is more an indictment of the test than of the machine.

Let’s just get rid of both.

@librarianshipwreck As a practical matter my Alma mater rejects 90% of applicants every year (It is the most selective campus in the CSU system). A regular hot-button issue among alumni is how best to decide which lucky 10% get admitted with SAT scores always a huge can of worms.

Given this, I'd like to hear from people about what they thing appropriate factors are for deciding who gets into highly selective universities.
