@antares @professorhank Capitalism inherently violates human rights even in the idealized form found in economic models. This is what anti-capitalists mean when they say that capitalism isn't a good idea even on paper. Capitalism being better than other economic systems that have existed doesn't imply there are no problems with capitalism at the level of theoretical justification. We also know that it violates those same human rights in practice as well

The economic growth and stability that capitalism has produced came at the cost of wealth inequality, exploitation of labor, environmental degradation, social injustices, the exploitation of natural resources, colonialism, imperialism, and the suppression of workers' rights and labor movements. The benefits of capitalism have not been equally distributed, with marginalized communities often bearing the brunt of its negative consequences.
