I'm thinking of getting into writing by starting a small personal techie focussed blog. Any recommendations for software?

@jsparknz Well, first maybe obvious question is: static or dynamic?

I have a blog using pelican as static website generator. Love it.
I'm not a fan of CMSs, using a sql and php or whatever seems like a bit of an overkill for a simple, personal blog.

IMO

@arteteco I like the idea of being able to write and publish directly in the one place in the browser, so I guess that means dynamic? I've tried out a clue and Ghost seems pretty nice. WordPress etc seem far too big and bulky.
