Hiya, it's been some time.I had no spoons, sorry :battery_low: 🙇

I've recently talked with a rightist libertarian. While it sounds bad, it was a very interesting conversation! He obviously knew more than I did, so I listened and I learned things. He also had a number of opinions very similar to mine, but it seems the underlying philosophy was different? That and he has racist tendancies I didn't try to dig into, bc we were at a party.

Don't worry, I'm still an internally raging anarcho-communist. Know I only want to know more and read more to counter his arguments. This... Is gonna be difficult bc I'm not even able to finish reading Anarchy Works and the Conquest of Bread. I also probably need some data and social research.

Chances are though... Now he's gonna try to talk abt his views each time we're in the same place. Which fortunately doesn't happen often but gawd does that mean I'm gonna have to prepare a thesis for future parties????

Racism, list of things I need to be able to counter argue

- Cultural homogeneity being a factor for reducing criminality (he agrees it stems from ignorance of other cultures, but he was implying strangers were forcing lifestyles onto the french population)
- He claimed it was near impossible for corporation to employ, exploit and just throw employees once the burnout makes them unproductive, and "consume" people (in a french context) bc it's also costly to employ in itself

List of things I need to be able to counter argue

I also need to know about various participative democracy/decision making systems. He said random draw isn't a reliable way of forming a decision making group. I need to see if he's right, and if so, how you counter that.

@Fenris Out of curiosity, if you couldn't find a reasonable, unbiased and strong argument against his, are you willing to change your opinion?

I'm not a rightist libertarian, don't have a horse in this, just really an honest question

List of things I need to be able to counter argue

@arteteco To be absolutely honest, I'm not sure. I'd be able to say "we haven't found a solution to that *yet*" but the thing with me and anarchism is that it's my way of keeping hope. Not sure it's healthy, and maybe that's not a good thing when it comes to being a good citizen? I try to at least admit that.
