Hey how's your experience in #mastodon so far?

As a former birdie wondering for a new place, I am still longing basic features and experience I had in the other platform.

Things I miss:
Knowing the impact of my postings. I really miss the number of impressions feature.

Being able to schedule postings.

A good search function .

Also I've had some pleasant interactions/read interesting threads and information here which are keeping me here for now.

@SanGasso These are certainly different types of platforms.

I have found personally that interactions on are greater than on .

The 'general ' here seems helpful and I have not had any bad experiences so far.

For me it took time getting used to but I have found the effort was certainly worth it.

@bibliolater @SanGasso True indeed, interacting with real and open-minded people mostly, whereas on Twitter I found a lot of negativity...

@xs4me2 @SanGasso I have found down to earth. If you are ever stuck there is always a helping hand nearby. So far it feels like a real community.

@bibliolater @SanGasso

Indeed, and that i guess is because the binding element is human interaction and not the algorithms governing the communication…

@bibliolater I find good interactions here too, not many but better than the bird. But I guess what I realized is that in the last 2-3 years the user experience in tw has deteriorated significantly including interactions. By contrast #mastodon is a nice refresher of what it used to be over there. Here it is still in development but there is also that feeling of meeting new people and discovering that has been lost lately.
