@bibliolater good question. I can only guess. But in the spirit of my discipline (history) it's complicated.
Some probably already are.
Others, when it gets close enough to them but many will die, probably because of Trump, and still think he was their Lord and Savior.
But take Vichy France (fascist aligned with Nazis) right about the time allied forces rolled tanks through war torn cities there appears to have been a "great awakening" and everybody was suddenly part of the resistance.

@bibliolater what's really insane is how many will never wake up even as they lay dying.
MOST will eventually wake up. But a solid base never will.
