Thank you for commenting. I used the search facility on Peertube and could not really find anything that was interesting. I will follow premodernist and see what comes.
@bibliolater If you are using the search box on the top of your peertube instance, I think that only searches that server (or maybe others that it is directly federated to).
Have you tries Sepia Search?
https://sepiasearch.org/
I usually just search by HashTag in Mastodon to find interested creators.
@obryanb Another commentator mentioned 'Sepia Search' and have started using it. Thank you for your assistance.
@bibliolater The fediverse in general is a bit iffy in everything related to searching, meaning it very seldom answers your searches with more than a tiny fraction of what there is.
On PeerTube they have a thing called Sepia Search. Have you tried using it? I just made a search for "science" and a few things popped out, although it's VERY far from the sheer volume of videos that you'd find on youtube.
I have not used 'Sepia Search' before, I shall give it a try. Thank you for the suggestion.
I have some channels about science or history I can suggest. But they are (mostly) in french.
Do you want a liste ?
@fox Unfortunately, comprehension of technical concepts in French is above my level. Thank you for the offer.
@bibliolater There are a bunch of both Science and History creators out there. How were you looking?
My preferred way is to follow the creator in Mastodon, for example. Then when they publish a new video, I can watch it by clicking the post in Mastodon and both like and comment right from there. (No need to login to there peertube instance.
One I am following now (history) is Premodernist.
you can follow @premodernist_history for the videos.
