even as an european who is accustomed to governments doing crazy shit all the time, it's really interesting to see canada going _so_ full throttle evil.
this whole assisted suicide stuff is absolutely wrong. not for being about "killing people". it's obviously just to get rid of chronically ill to save money, but the front is "look friendly canadians are caring for the ill!!1". disgusting shit.
We are all chronically ill, it is just a matter of "how long?".
And it is easy to prove those eugenicists all wrong; Stephen Hawking. Diagnosed ALS when he was 21, and prognosis of 2 years of life. He died at age 76, with an enormous legacy for humankind.
If that was Canada today; "You should consider medically assisted suicide." and we all would be worse off.

that's precisely what most of the "progressives" agenda is in the end. only what is considered "good" differs from other attempts at eugenics.

They might effectively be dysgenic, but in their worldview it has nothing to do with breeding as they are all blank-slate enthusiasts.

i'll don my tinfoil hat for a moment:
take the 10000ft view. many things currently viewed positively will likely lead to the reduction of population:
fertilizer from russia is pushed to be banned from export. children are expected to be in daycare from at least year 1. get vaxxed with experimental shit. hedonistic lifestyle combined with cheap hormonal birth control (which has severe health effects). everything is feminizing embryos due to BPA and other chemicals. "healthy food" is literally poison because it is processed and concentrated - soybeans aren't bad, concentrating them and putting them into everything is bad. eat sweeteners instead of sugar, it's totally healthy.
i could go on. maybe it's just coincidence. on the other hand: if you really believe in the brave new technocratic world, which these progressives apparently do...
