This is an important point.
Fediverse becoming the "Linux of social media" is a failure mode, even if that's good enough for us nerds.
Overcoming this isn't simple or easy sadly.

@gabriel @anemone it will never be overcome because this network was built for 2007 social expectations and the world has moved on. the fediverse can't satisfy demands on things like moderation, it is technically literally infeasible and what it can theoretically do isn't good enough.
