@p it's really infuriating how brainwashed so many people are.

@bonifartius It doesn't really upset me, you know, like there are people that think that if they demonstrate a willingness to fit into the system that the system will cut some slack to accommodate them, and it doesn't; that's the defining feature of a system. It's not any more frustrating than a person doing a ritual to pick lottery numbers.

It is a little baffling that you have this organization that created the GPL because they understand that a corporation won't yield so they have to make it impossible for the corporation to appropriate code, but the same organization thinks that they can get a government to play ball.

@p if only they would realize that they could have infinite amount of slack cut if there was no one threatening torture and violence at all given times which is enabled by their appeasement. guess you can't force people to be happy.

GPL is based on voluntary contracts to which taxation is the polar opposite.

then, i know (as i used to think this way in the past, thanks to decades of brainwash) that in the euro mind the GPL is considered good because they regard it as "communist" and middle finger to capitalism. if i'm not mistaken taler is an european project, so that would explain the taxation fetish.

@bonifartius

An entire continent resigned to serfdom. Very sad.
