there was prostate cancer in my family (shit for me i guess).
it can be detected and managed with noninvasive methods SO early now that people easily can live 15-20 years with it before it spreads to the bones.
NO fucking way someone rich like biden didn't had these tests done all the time and it was missed.
@bonifartius some people die of untreated prostate cancer because they avoid getting their prostate checked, on account of the method involved

@genmaicha xD there are blood tests (PSA) for this now, i'd imagine someone like biden would get one of these!
@bonifartius that's good to know, hopefully I can just get this done if I get to that age, rather than... the other method
@genmaicha at least it's how prostate cancer and the treatment is monitored, but i think it can be as well used for detection. i think these tests are pretty sensitive, apparently they even can detect if the prostate is merely "enlarged".
