boomers are so goddamn emotionally challenged, it's not even funny. latest take i heard from relatives is that grown ups shouldn't discuss their misunderstandings in presence of kids because it would trouble the kids too much!
HOW THE FUCK SHOULD KIDS LEARN THAT IT'S OK TO DISCUSS PROBLEMS AND THAT IT'S NORMAL TO HAVE DIFFERENT OPINIONS AND THAT CONFLICTS CAN BE SOLVED BY TALKING ABOUT THEM, FINDING A SOLUTION EVERYONE CAN LIVE WITH.

It makes sense if you're not a reasonable person who can't discuss problems without shouting or hitting people. Of course you'd want to keep that away from the children.
The reason why younger generations are so disconnected from older ones is because they have to rebuild IRL culture from scratch while it's under direct assault.
