Do changes to data-* attributes cause reflows/renders/DOM perf issues?
Thinking about changes at the root element.
@remIf the attribute isn't bound to css it probably won't reflow BUT it looks like how you select the node might trigger reflows. you can test this with devtools usint Paint Flashing
