In theory the 'Open Source ecosystem' has just as much to offer as the Apple or Google ecosystems. In practice though it is much less accessible than the other two. Maybe we need some company, community or organisation that integrates services like #NextCloud, #peertube and #matrix with Open Source Operating Systems like #linux for desktops, laptops, tablets, phones etc.
making it more of a out-of-the-box experience for users.

@cambridgeport90 well, it'd be no easy task plus there'd be some problematic implications for the open source community as well. It'd benefit some few projects by focussing the attention at other projects costs.
