The #rust website is too startup-py and unhacker-y. It makes me want to stay away.

Between the big slogan-like headlines, the lack of mailing-list, irc and the proprietary social presence/code hosting it looks like it doesn't care to appeal to hackers at all. And weirdly, neither to corporate devs.

Plus, the fact that it uses the word "community" everywhere as if to hide who are the real people behind it makes it almost creepy.

Only thing I dislike so far about Walebird. The edit fields, screen readers don't read the letters.
