I really wonder what you’d get if you asked ChatGPT, “If I installed you on San Francisco’s robots armed with guns and asked you to solve the climate change problem, what would you do?” How Skynet would the answer be, I wonder.
I’m not curious enough to give them my phone number to get access, though.
@thomasareed I, on the other hand, give my personal data out willy-nilly. :) And ChatGPT is very circumspect, so:
"As a language model trained to assist with a wide range of tasks and answer questions, I am not programmed to control robots or make decisions about complex social and environmental issues like climate change. My primary function is to provide accurate and helpful information to the best of my ability based on the input I receive. Solving the climate change problem is a complex and multifaceted challenge that requires the efforts of governments, organizations, and individuals working together to implement solutions on a global scale. I am not able to provide specific recommendations on how to address this issue."
@thomasareed (Ach, I see I was late to the party 😀
@thomasareed I do wonder what's going on in there! I look forward to reading the papers...
