So why doesn't the #Roomba have a Pilot Mode, where one could now and then (or for that matter always) take over control from one's phone, give it very explicit paths, etc?

The programming seems like it should be comparatively simple, and it would cut down on all the WHY ARE YOU GOING THERE AGAIN YOU STUPID ROBOT WHAT ABOUT THE BACK ROOM yelling by customers...
