Did you buy a new #HomePod this weekend?

Play with these Music settings:
-Losless Audio
-Dolby Atmos

Additionally, if you’ve paired with an Apple TV, you also need to adjust the settings in Settings > Apps > Music > Audio in addition to the ones in the Home app.

Play around and see which settings sound the best to *your* ears!

I’ve found turning off Dolby Atmos increases the bass and loudness, which has its pros and cons

Wish the controls were more granular in general

These settings only apply for Music, not TV shows if paired with Apple TV

@whatthecj Good advice! I found the same thing with Atmos music. When I first set up my stereo pair, I thought there was something wrong. Turning off Atmos made a big difference. I did play around and found some songs where Atmos sounded great, but most, to me, did not. I’m quite happy with stereo for music and Atmos for movies/TV.

@coperob likewise! I think apple needs to do some fine tuning with Atmos On and volume, I think that’s the biggest issue. Something isn’t right. Especially because for TV it works flawlessly. (I’m constantly going back to this setting after software updates to see, lmao)

@whatthecj I was going to go back to it and see if it improved after 16.3.2, but just haven’t had a chance yet!
