Interesting piece on companies bringing bringing #microbiome analysis into the clinic for their predictive value in cancer #immunotherapy. But take it with this major boulder of salt:
“I think that it’s certainly worth doing,” says Steven Salzberg, computational biologist at Johns Hopkins. “But you have to be really skeptical of what you find.” Before they become widely adopted, the field needs validation, replication and large gold standard trials.'
