I'm all for thoughtfully designed vaccines and polyclonal antibodies to combat viral threats, but poorly designed vaccines and monoclonals drive viral evolution. A responsible hunter looking to secure its community drives dangerous prey off a cliff rather than into the next valley. Monoclonals and narrow target vaccines like the RBD top-heavy mRNA COVID vaccines are 'next valley' strategies. We can do much better.
