@gpollara @cyrilpedia Makes one wonder what socioeconomic factors weigh in on this calculation....? Reminds me somewhat of the link between air pollution and lung cancer risk...

@halama_immuno @gpollara @cyrilpedia I wonder if a correlate is obesity... and in partnership type ii diabetes.

@MarkHanson @gpollara @cyrilpedia Exxellent...as we see the link of adipose tissue in worsening a clinical situation or also a link to an improved clinical outcome...better differentiation between obesity || diabetes || physical exercise || nutrition is clearly needed... #metabolism #immunology

@halama_immuno @gpollara @cyrilpedia Yeah. I also say that in response to @gpollara 's surprise that it's 10% (high). I also think it's surprisingly high... but moving countries in the past 10 years, I gotta say... one can become desensitized to high (>20%) obesity/overweight rates if it's your day-to-day.

It was extremely noticeable differences in obesity rate moving from Switzerland (9%) to UK (25.9%)...

@halama_immuno @gpollara @cyrilpedia and that's not even considering the additional 37.9% of adults that are overweight, but not obese, in the UK (31% in Switzerland).
