@cyrilpedia so in this model, the disease is T cell driven immunopathology?

@gpollara I doubt that in humans it would be so simple - but reinforces that the damage of immune deficiency can be outweighed by the risks of immunepathology. I think this is clearer with commensals, where you only have damage when immune dysregulation sets in. Shohei, Jocelyne & I saw this 20 years with pneumocystis:
