@derickflorian But yeah, I get that too.
I used to think about retirement when I was in my 20's.
Now I just want to find something I can do the rest of my life, even part time later on if I want. Hopefully software is it. Or I'll finally open up a custom wood shop......
@dev_Paul Either would be cool. I took a class on planing wood with a friend and then I preceded to do nothing with it. He then really got into woodworking and redid a lot of house.
How is your software dev journey going btw? Are you still primarily focusing on web dev?
I've been using tools all of my life and have a garage full of them. I think I may take an actual woodworking course at some point. Custom homes is a bit different that furniture or cabinets....
Once CS50 got into Python I really found I like it, a lot. So I'm focusing on that but not sure in which direction. One project used Flask and that's what I'm using for my CS50 final project.
@derickflorian ......Android is still of interest to me too.
You?
@dev_Paul it’s going well but ramping up in how complicated it is. I’m working on working on a C project now. Up until now I've just been using Python.
Python is a super useful language. From the job descriptions I have seen at my company for engineers Python is always at least in the preferred qualifications section.
I am getting the web development itch. I’ve been looking at making my dormant personal site/blog more fun and less complicated. I have been looking at #gridsome and possibly learning html, css and #vue enough to get something up and running.
@derickflorian "living for today"
