One really early impression I have of working in #softwareEngineering is that it’s just important to be able to use the supporting tools as it is to know how to code.
The only side projects I did where a build system figured in before were when I was learning android and the modifications I made to the Gradle files was very minor.
@derickflorian I hear you brother. I've been preaching this for more than 20 years, especially in #science #softwareengineering, but alas, nobody has listened to me. On the plus side, I'm pretty popular with my colleagues to clean up their messy repos and processes.
