So, I'm 90% sure I"m going to go with an Android phone of some kind. I had to ditch my S21+ today because it just won't hold a charge for more than an hour or so. So I'm using the iPhone I have on hand. It will give me a good test to see if I want to go back to iOS and the Apple Watch. What do y'all use?

@thelinuxcast second hand iphone as i've found all phones post 2018 seem to work fine and iphone has the longest support period... until a decent linux phone comes out

@ikt @thelinuxcast I was just watching and reading reviews of the pinephone pro out of curiosity(on my iPhone lol). I’m surprised it works as well as it does, but it seems like the battery life is pretty poor.

I also can’t tell if it is able to go into suspend and still wake up for incoming calls. I saw two conflicting takes on that.

When do you think a no compromise Linux phone will come out?

@derickflorian @ikt A long time from now. Maybe if all the OS devs banded together, it'd happen faster, but in traditional FOSS fashion, they're all doing their own thing.

@thelinuxcast @ikt The good thing about stubborn FOSS people though is some of them will make it work some day.

@derickflorian Oh, I'm sure. It'll happen and it will one day be good, but look at Linux. It took a long time before it got really, really good.
