they recommend “eat more protein” but isn’t literally all living matter made of protein

@dpwiz perhaps, but it’s not applicable to me – I just need to eat more of everything, fats and carbs included, but especially proteins unfortunately my body isn’t very keen on getting and extracting all that I really don’t understand how people can even theoretically not be able to lose weight – gaining it, that may be a problem

@amiloradovsky @dpwiz have you tried protein supplements? Mix it with milk and gulp all the way.

Just don't buy a really cheap one. Poorly processed protein supplement acts as a laxative :akkowtf:

@newt @dpwiz I haven’t, because from what I know they’re very tricky to pick and they stand next to anabolics and such (the latter may disrupt the erectile function among other things) also I don’t drink milk since my early childhood, I can tolerate it just fine as part of other products, but not even sure if I could drink it isolated most importantly, I always thought that the supplements aren’t necessary – just eating meat and chicken eggs for example should suffice

@amiloradovsky @dpwiz what? Naaaaah.. those protein supplements have nothing to do with anabolic steroids or other pharma. It's just whey protein filtered from other stuff you typically find in food. I.e. the worst that can happen to you is you spend an hour on a stall if it's low quality.

@newt @dpwiz guess I should try them: I’m not against supplements as such, but those I take are usually just vitamins and minerals – could be proteins too I’m still not sure if they’ll make any difference at all, but I can try
