Gosh, I sometimes hate that the LSPs are a thing now. People really like to dunk on and its "toolchain" for LSP deficiencies.

Come on, people, this stuff is barely mature by itself.

And you really can do without it.

@dpwiz last time I was using Haskell I tried the lsp-mode for emacs and it was super impressive. I put it away after a day because I don't need or desire lots of information popping up as I program, but I was impressed with all it has to offer people that are into that kind of thing, nonetheless

@dpwiz kinda agree, but i get why people have the feeling that the current tooling isn’t it

because of some issue with compliance with the lsp protocol, there were many releases where hls didn’t work for stuff like renaming (in helix), and almost all code actions, but yeah, it nevertheless is very nice!

i would have to lookup the type of lib functions all the time!
