is FTDI too evil to put on a MNT Reform motherboard? need a well supported quad (actually just triple) USB UART chip that can handle 1.5mbit on two of the UARTs.

thanks for all the input, after checking all the (pretty complex/big/expensive) options i settled on CY7C65215-32LTXI and a DIP switch to select on of two UARTs that can have the console depending on the chosen CPU module (most use UART 1, but on some like BPi CM4 and 8mplus i had to use UART 2).

also this is the next level of "don't accidentally swap RX/TX!"

also there's a ton of unused GPIOs there... any ideas for useful uses for them?

@mntmn double duty as a keyboard controller or other sensors? Maybe expose it with some kind of breakout for folk to do whatever they dig with?
