So I'm interested in running my own SMTP server at home, which means I need port 25 I guess and an IP that gmail hasn't already block-banned. Can anyone recommend a London ISP that fits the bill?

@stepleton Any reason not to do it on a cloud server? It can be a pretty underpowered machine so should be cheap. I used to run my own email server and hated the upgrade cycle, so was always out of date. Being able to spin up a new machine temporarily is absolutely critical. If you do it at home definitely run it in a dedicated VM.

@tewalds @stepleton well, on AWS for instance a static IPv4 now costs money, and they won't set a rDNS on an IPv6 so you can't even run a IPv6 only service
