I just want to read a book. When I read my new book, every time I flip pages the Kobo Android viewer blanks white for a period of over a second. The time it spends white is longer than the amount of time I can flip a page.
I think because it's Kobo I can export my books and import them into another app. But my flow for getting books onto the tablet and into CDisplayEx is miserable and takes multiple steps and downloading things onto a third device entirely. So this sounds awful too.
So say I have a Android tablet, and the Kobo app is downloading its books to [Internal storage]\Android\data\com.kobobooks.android\files
*If I have not rooted my tablet*, there's no way for me to extract those books into a place that a different reader app such as CDisplayEx could read them, right? I'm going to need a second device?
Okay so since Kobo's ereader app is broken I'm trying to download the files to view them in another editor. The only reason I switched to Kobo originally was because I believed Kobo allowed this.
It downloaded an "acsm" file. This is a kilobyte and clearly not a comic book. According to Kobo's help pages, this somehow is used by "Adobe Digital Editions". I don't know what that means and I expect finding out is going to involve a kind of pain I have never before in my life experienced
@mcc It means you have to get a specific adobe tool, on Windows, to open them and decrypt them.
So yeah. Sorry. Been there.
