@jwz I've used ChatGPT, the advanced paid bits, extensively, and it IS useful, but you HAVE TO CENTAUR IT. You CANNOT and SHOULD NOT EVER publish it as-is, but it's a very good starting point for a human to double check, ideate on, do additional research, and build it up into a more comprehensive, more accurate, more resonant (actual human voice) piece.
