Im adding ROM passthrough to the Glyphblaster prototype. So I need access to the address lines - the pico can't just glom on there anymore.

That's where 0 ohm resistors come in handy! They're like little stubby wires.

There's also now two more 603 components in my carpet.

When I was little, my parents always said, "Cow, don't make mid-air ROM sockets."

And so I never did. But I'm an adult now, and I can do whatever I want.

Well, I feel dumb, ROM passthrough wasn't working at all and I couldn't really puzzle out why - the MK36000 has an internal address latch. If you don't toggle /CE on and off, it never sees another address. Whoopsie.

Of course my router's "Automatic" channel selection picks the busiest channel.

I remember using OpenWRT you could use the unlicensed channel 14. That was always fun. I would never, ever do that though. Don't @ me, FCC.

ROM passthrough is working!

I think on the final board, I will have a small serial eeprom that can be loaded with whatever fonts you want, and the active font will be loaded into an 8 bit SRAM.

That makes this a practical, reversible upgrade for your CGA card even if you don't care about video streaming.

I don't think legally I can distribute Bad Apple and certainly I cannot distribute Never Gonna Give You Up.

Anyone have suggestions for public domain / free videos to include? Just need 3-4, i figure.
