Unpopular opinion:

The vast majority of people won’t notice any difference between a real SID chip and the latest replacements/emulations in a blind test. I include myself, especially for the newer 8580 SIDs. My hearing is quite good and I’m a trained audio engineer.

DON‘T rip SIDs out of C64s!
