3. Local is a term that white people use to argue over who has lived on native land longer. You don't qualify.
4. Never disagree with how things are done.
5. If you sit on a board, expect a decision that would take 10 minutes elsewhere to take three to five meetings.
6. Never leave a party first or eat the last thing.
7. Prepare for 30-minute goodbyes.
