Newbie ponderings: I was a bit confused about how #Nostr relays worked. They were supposedly all their own silos. But even though #Primal only listed its own relay in the settings, my messages still made it to #Amethyst and #openvibe and vice versa.

A few days after joining Nostr, Amethyst added in and outboxes and suddenly all my apps showed all of the servers any of my apps have used in its settings. So now my in and out boxes each have 11 servers listed even though it recommends one to three. (Side question, why isn't more spread better than 1-3 servers?)

@granite I think technical people there are just resort to some kind of tricks/workarounds to get their posts to other relays because as I understand does not federate in a sense that you can't follow/see people from other relays that are not added to your client's Outbox relays list. I guess it is because, unlike with /#activitypub instances, on Nostr it is possible and easy to import multiple posts to one or many relays.
