@fk another hint. Because the way the federated timeline works once you have a few starter followers (particularly from larger instances), then you start gaining followers faster. If you make a post then that post will show up int he federated timeline for all users on instances that has at least one user following you.

So on QOTO the best way to gain users is to post content.
