Quite a strong message @etta !
But this applies also to our photos and videos, not only those of the children..
For sure, they don't get to decide and parents decide for them, but I see it realistically difficult for a children's photo to be used like this.. it's far easier to take one of them once they are already grown up, it has higher fidelity and probably complements with videos having today's voice and expressions of the girl, and not a reconstruction from a younger age...
Thinking about it deeper,
might be useful to fake facts that didn't happen, yes, that might actually be possible... Expecially having audio and video of the younger age.. it came to my mind just while I was finishing to write the first part ^^
Hi @frayoshi
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Indeed, these dangers occur to anyone, regardless of age or gender.
I've seen real incidents too. A friend of my daughter faced deepfake abuse, with a porn video shared among peers. Online posts spread fast, hard to control. It was awful.
Our precious real life should never be faked or misused.
I genuinely hope that in near future, we will have robust security technology to safeguard against misuse, but I know it might be a cat-and-mouse game...
