Did anyone else go to the absolutely MASSIVE Gay Pride Day in Amsterdam this weekend?
I was there on Saturday it is so epic to see an ENTIRE city celebrating a group that just a few decades ago were oppressed, beaten, and outlawed. The world has come so far with acceptance of others that it is really refreshing to see.
I hope everyone who celebrated had an epic time!
@Blort lol. I wouldnt have an issue if you had a celebratory day for every group. Throw in whites and straights too, everyone should be recognized.
Sure. While not exactly oppressed minorities, I'm all for everyone getting their 15 minutes in the sun... Whitemas? Straight pride? I just have a sinking feeling these would devolve into rallies for neo Nazis and religious fundamentalists. 🙄
Damnit Neo Nazis! I just want to have some fun celebrating my pasty pale complexion with everyone else! Why do you have to turn my special day into something so un-fun? 😾
@freemo Sounds cool! Now we just need the same for the other oppressed minorities to hopefully give them better representation in a fun, easily palatable celebration...
