Friend: Do wasps make honey?
Me: Yea, that's how we get tequila.

@freemo Am I the only one getting tired of American style political correctness?

I mean ts gotten to the point, where fellow LGBT people are basically eating each other alive, and have started basically calling each other homophobic.

And yet they wonder why policy isn't being made to accomodate them. Maybe because they're impossible to please?

They keep upping the amount of control they want out of you.

Somebody has to draw a red line somewhere.

Not the only one. It's why I have a house in the Netherlands right now. Very accepting if trans there too by the way.

@freemo Yea I heard, it's why I wanted to move there for years. Before I decided on Alsace-Lorraine.^ ^

@freemo How did you get around the language? I have heard Dutch is somewhere in between English and German.

So it wouldn't be like ... learning Japanese.

@freemo Stll wantng to learn Japanee, but holding it off a bit.

@LWFlouisa
They speak better English than most Americans. So not a problem. I'm slowly working on learning the language but you really don't have to.

@freemo Ah so they're really chill about that?

I've heard similar things in France, although generally, the people that have been nice have either been ... Italian or Dutch.

I wouldn't have guessed Italian. It's not like the French are men, its ... hard to describe really.

I know this one Dutch girl, at least according to her it seems like Belgians are assholes. I'm sensing a bit of history not eplicitely being communicated.:P

Interestingly, when I look at who is actually reading my work 1/2

@freemo it's usually the Swiss or Finnish. Not entirely sure what that is. 2/2

@LWFlouisa
The Italian are very nice. But they will also gossip more than some other cultures.

@freemo I'll have to see where I fit most.

I have some days where I'm to socially drained to say anything, and other day, it's almost lke I drank a pot of coffee.

@freemo It seems like people aren't using common sense in terms of building applicatons these days: I can't even download anything worth a crap, when the entire point of thing like Scuttlebutt, is to be able to work with it when you're not always online.

Kind of defeats the purpose, when you're not able to access the internet reliably to begin with. And your browser keep fucking interrupting your download. And when it in, you can't resume download. Android phone gets something so basic right.

@freemo Yea I tried rebuilding it in terminal even, and I still get the same god damn error.

@freemo And the thing is, I can do something just as good, but programming a markdown to html converter, or even storing a miniature web server on a thumb drive.

Then have two different people have the same application (a jekyll blog), and catch up with each other's diaries that way.

@freemo Do you do software?

I'm having to use a non-conventional method to distribute my web novel application.

Basically it involves setting up a local server, routing that through localtunnel, and using that to send the git file.

Are there better way of going about this?
