@freemo Wow you biked all the way Kings Cross to Ambsterdam? My man!

Kdding, are you visiting England, or is it Vice Versa?

@LWFlouisa Vice versa? As in, england visiting me? :) I was just passing through so decided to hike around town and get a longer layover

Not sure if this is long enough to abbreviate.

@freemo It seems like a lot of fediverse places are cropping up, that seem to have a very different idea of harassment than I do.

To me, it's not harassment unless someone is truly stalking me, or using fowl languages. In which case, the issue to me isn't ... generally, that they disagree with me.

Ex. On Diaspora, I'd have these guys repeatedly say things like "Why do you even try to build a website, there is no need for it unless you have a specific brand image."

I figure, if it were disagreement, I would like to think (I can't be perfect) that I could at least show them the reason behind my web development approach, even if at the end of the day, there is still confusion.

But as I was telling a fellow female friend who is also in tech, no it's not about the tech we're building for some guys in tech.:/

Now the flip side: I've had people that were completely like me in politics, but used the same tactics.

Life is strange.

@LWFlouisa I think the difference between harassment and being offended or hurt are very different things. If you can escape the interaction without being pursued then it isnt harassment as you have complete power over the situation.
