Still love this man. He was a saint. No one could preach racial diversity without coming across across accusative or judgemental quite like this guy could.

@freemo I recently rewatched this scene & it's not about diversity, it's about commonality. It was making the statement that everyone was living the same lifestyle & needed to cool off on that hot summer day. People have been trained now to spot differences 1st, but to Fred it was what we all could relate to that really mattered & if there was something different it was a gift to be explored by the individual. That mailman guy today sings with the symphony in Philadelphia I think.

@Klaatu Making a statement about commonality with someone of a seperate race IS racial diversity. It is just racial diversity by demonstrating it, rather than preaching it.

Thats the whole point. Rogers was VERY careful not to make people feel attacked. he didnt preach to them. He demonstrated how people should be treated and let that be his example.

This was very much about racial diversity he just demonstrated that the right way, without using identity politics, that is all.
