Yea Mental Health is a HUGe part of it. the USA feels like a mental institution where no one is getting treated. The mental health issues are completely out of control there. It is no surprise there is so much violence especially when you factor int he poverty that results from poor schooling.

Mental health should have been the main focus, but it seems like we need more time for that awareness to come to light.
