@cwebber I've discovered that if you leave Mastodon and kill your instance but then months later recreate it and come back, there are instances out there which probably still have all your old posts and you can't see them/edit them/delete them.

Yup its the nature of decentralized but its only cached, servers can clear cache

Very true. I'd love to see a request to purge queue flag (which mods can set a server to ignore, but enabled by default). Though googling my domain has shown me old people I used to follow (all of whom have also now left Masto).
