I think you miss the issue. It has nothing to do with the fact that pros do the work for you, or even that they can produce more meat.

The issue is that with factory farming the conditions for the animals are often unacceptable by the moral standards of the people who protest it. Specifically confinment in small spaces or lack of mental enrichment.
